INDIANAPOLIS, IN November 3rd, 2020 — GroundBreakers LLC, a woman owned and operated leading hydrovac excavation service provider in the state of Indiana, is proud to announce national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Great Lakes Women's Business Council (GLWBC), a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

This certification comes after Andrea Sloan purchased 51% of the company and took over managing the business.  The company’s management team, including President Andrea Sloan and Operations Manager Doug Taylor, are excited about the new certification, and recognize the importance of continuing to deliver an exceptional service to customers.

“Earning our WBE certification is an exciting breakthrough opportunity in the typically male-dominated construction field,” stated Sloan. “One thing that’s important to us, however, is remaining true to GroundBreakers mission. This business was founded on exceeding our customers’ expectations, supporting our employees, and remaining dedicated to safety and integrity.  This certification will help us further our support of the woman owned business community, but we will also remain focused on continuing our legacy as a top locally owned non-destructive hydro-excavation services provider.”

WBENC’s national standard of certification implemented by the Great Lakes Women's Business Council is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by a woman or women.

By including women-owned businesses among their suppliers, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier diversity programs.

Important Benefits of Hydrovac Excavation

7/2/2019

Hydrovac Technology

GroundBreakers use advanced digging methods. The trucks use high pressure water or air and a vacuum to remove unwanted debris from a work site.

Cost-Effective

Hydrovac excavation is 10x faster than hand shoveling, minimizing time and expense. More accurate and precise methods are used so damages to utilities, surrounding pipes, and the environment are minimized.

Non-Destructive

Traditional excavation methods can damage the underground utilities. We utilize pressurized water and a vacuum system to safely expose underground infrastructure.

Spoils

The dirt which is collected as a result of digging is removed by a large vacuum and is stored in a tank for later disposal. No dirt or waste material is left behind at the site.

3 Reasons You Need to Hydro Excavate Before Starting Your Construction Project

1/14/2019

The process of hydro excavation reduces a lot of unnecessary effects from traditional excavation methods. If you need to excavate an area with sensitive underground utilities, then hydrovac excavation is the best option. Using pressurized water and a powerful 6000 cubic feet per minute (CFM) positive displacement blower system, allows excavation in the toughest conditions, including frozen ground. Hydro excavation is crucial to many projects. Here are some reasons why you must hydro excavate before starting your construction process.

1. Safety

Safety is the biggest concern when working around underground utilities. One wrong strike with traditional excavation, and you could damage underground power lines, gas lines, water pipes, fiber optics, television, and phone cables. Using hydrovac excavation eliminates the possibility of damage to the utility and prevents accidents.

2. Cost effective

Mistakes can be costly! The hydrovac process is a safe and efficient solution for site excavation. Hand digging can take days to expose utilities, adding unwanted cost to any project. GroundBreakers completes thousands of projects per year using only the best equipment, and staffs every job with an operator and field technician. This has helped GroundBreakers earn a reputation for delivering superior services with unrivaled safety, efficiency, and productivity.

3. Non-Destructive

Hydrovac services are applicable on virtually all soil types. When using this type of excavation, it provides a higher level of precision, leading to lesser disposal of materials and accordingly less restoration. Since it does not involve any chemicals, the process is environment-friendly.
When industrial and municipal environments require excavation, consider the benefits hydrovac excavation services provide. It is the number one safe and efficient excavating solution.
